Calor de Salsa

From my ongoing series of paintings of dancers, this painting is 40 x 60 x1.25 The edges are a continuance of the painting. My salsa people dancing across the room slightly deconstructing into the rhythm and the music. In warm yellows, hot reds and cool, muted periwinkle grays.
I think I can speak for most artists in saying that music is an integral part of painting. I must have music on to paint and create since there is an underlying rhythmic structure to a paintings composition, it’s very important. And a lot of my paintings are dancers and of course they need music to dance to.
