Le Bassiste avec un Chat

In this artwork, I explored the dynamic relationship between a musician and his silent audience, symbolized by a small, attentive cat. Using oil and wax, I employed cubist techniques to fragment and reconstruct the scene, enriching the narrative with angular, intersecting lines that suggest the complex layers of performance. The fiery orange and deep blacks heighten the intensity, drawing viewers into a moment suspended between motion and emotion, harmony and contrast. This piece invites contemplation on companionship and the unspoken communication within the arts.
abstracted and deconstructed into a cubist composition in cool grays and rust browns.
