I was thinking about the years I spent in the nightclubs and bars in Miami where I grew up. I spent a lot of time painting nightlife and street scenes on location. If the place was too busy I would do some sketches and then paint it later. I love the interiors of many restaurants and bars, they were very appealing to me for some reason. Then the intermingling of the people was fascinating to me to create an interesting story and composition and atmosphere. This was a place on the very busy and popular Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, FL. Lots of restaurants and shops. Lots of entertainment and art galleries. A beautiful place to visit and hang out. 36x26x1.25 inches, oil and cold wax on canvas, the edges are a continuance of the painting. Signed front and back, it will be wired before shipping.
