Our Lady of Charity of El Cobre
Patroness of Cuba, legend has it that 3 guys in Cuba were in a little boat, fishing and a terrible storm came up. One guy had a Mary medal on, they started praying for her help. The storm stopped and they found a statue of Mary floating in the water but she was dry. She then became known as Nuestra Señora de la Caridad del Cobre. A shrine was built for her there in Cuba. There is also a shrine for her in Miami, a copy of her statue Is displayed there and the walls are covered in amazing artwork in sepia tones. I used to visit there and sit for a while to enjoy the peace and the amazing artwork.
