Our Lady of Ransom
Peter Nolasco founded the order of Mercedarian in response to a request made by the Blessed Virgin during an apparition on August 1, 1218. Members of this order took a special vow to act as hostages, if necessary, to free Christian captives whose faith was in danger from the Moors.
She is 12x9x.5 inches oil, cold wax and gold leaf paint, she is in. A simple black wood frame 13x1011.5 inches framed.
Her Feast Day is September 24
